LISA

She is a favorite in Portland for creating versatile hairstyles that compliment the shape of each client’s face and enhances his or her individual features. “I’m constantly drawing inspiration from studying fashion and design as well as listening to my client’s needs and desires.” This wisdom also includes Lisa’s innate ability and skill with color.
A sought-after stylist for any special occasion, Lisa gained her experience through extended training on the East and West coast, including Bumble & Bumble in New York and Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco.
“ I was born in Spain, raised in Colorado, and grew up with a bohemian, iconoclastic love of style that has served me well. At French Cut Hair, the friendly, collaborative atmosphere continues to inspire me and makes it a pleasure to work every day with my clients.”
NICOLE
For color specialist Nicole Greiwe, hair is never boring. From cuts to color; she loves it all. “There is always something new to learn and be inspired by,” she says. Nicole’s artistic eye and her ability to deliver what her clients want makes her sought after stylist at French Cut Hair.
“There are so many different ways to apply color: from Balayage — for a subtle, sun-kissed look — to highlights and lowlights—for dimension — to all-over rich tones of chocolates, reds and, of course, there are flattering ways to ease into the inevitable gray.”
Before moving to French Cut Hair, Nicole worked at Fada in Portland, Oregon, one of ELLE’s top 100 salons in the nation. During her time at Fada, she traveled to New York for a Bumble & Bumble Design and Hair Cut course.
Outside of work, you may find Nicole rummaging through vintage shop or bargaining down a diner-style table set at your garage sale. She likes to hike and bake; “crafty things,” like knitting and sewing. And, of course, she loves spending time with her friends and family. (It is no wonder this hairdresser notes her relationships with clients as one of the most rewarding parts of the industry.)

SCARLET
At French Cut Hair, Scarlet Harris’ signature highlighting, ombre and balayage techniques have caught the attention of Portland’s fashionistas, and it’s apparent her vibrant, head-turning hues are becoming a favorite among the young city-chic. She also specializes in modern, feminine, bridal and red-carpet hair styles.
Born in Idaho, Scarlet says, “I was a child of the ‘big-hair 80s’ and I quickly realized the joys of hairstyling. Even in grade school, I was crimping, waving, curling, and getting perms. By junior-high and high-school, I was the go-to-girl for my friends’ color and hairdo needs: bleaching, dreads, manic-panic, henna and vintage up-do’s.”
“I’m always trying to figure out the newest and latest, or re-discovering old, timeless tricks from the past. The styles never stop coming and I never stop exploring. Hair is an art form and I feel very blessed to go to work everyday and perform my art for the joy of others.”
“My off-time shenanigans? Re-purposing things; restoring furniture; mixed media arts; dancing; chilin’ outside; thrifting; happy-hour with the girls; and dinner and games with friends.”
Scarlet’s favorite quote: “Love of Beauty is good taste. The Creation of beauty is an art.” --- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
